Originating over 2,000 years ago in the town of Paithan, Maharashtra, the Paithani sari is a symbol of timeless elegance and cultural pride. Known as the “Queen of Silks,” this handwoven masterpiece was once a favorite of royals and continues to enchant with its rich zari work and vibrant motifs inspired by nature—peacocks, lotuses, vines, and parrots. Traditionally woven from pure silk and real gold or silver threads, each Paithani is a labor of love, sometimes taking months to complete. Today, it remains not just a garment but a treasured heirloom, passed down through generations”.
